On the DarD’ok peninsula, on the eastern side of the land, lies the Sythdorn Wastelands. A barren scorched desert still wounded from an explosion of ancient magic over three millennia ago. The black sands cover ancient ruins, petrified ancient forests, and empty riverbeds.
 
The cracked mountains provide many cave networks, from biting winds and the scorching sun. It is in these cave networks that many creatures have called home. One of these creatures, is the Basilisk, a creature with a slow metabolism, which makes it sluggish, relying on its innate magic to turn its prey to stone, thereby being able to eat it at its own pace.
 
As the creature grows, it is constantly shedding its scales, providing ample opportunity for my apprentices to collect them and bring them to you. Corked and sealed in a vial, to preserve its potency. Sufficient for all magical potions, magical studies, and spell components.
