A hydrosol is the water part of the steam distillation of a botanical. Hydrosols have the same excellent properties of essential oils but are more gentle and have a softer fragrance. They can be used on the skin to freshen and moisturize or as a prep for a serum, cream, butter, or oil. They also revive curly hair with a simple spray and scrunch.
