Across the realm, there are those that carry it as a heavy curse or a beautiful blessing. and yet over the centuries, we have been unable to cure it, delay it yes, but alas no cure.  There are many kinds of lycanthropy, but that of the wolf is seen as a curse.  As such is the way, I helped those who seek to control this curse over the years, by providing them an elixir that helps stave off the transformation, save for the full moon.
 
It is during this transformation, that such individual is contained by wards, to prevent them from inflicting harm to others. But after the transformation, the resulting shedding of the fur, once back into a humanoid form, is usually discarded, but recent research that it might help in a cure. Thus, providing ample opportunity for my apprentices to collect them and bring them to you. Corked and sealed in a vial, to preserve its potency. Sufficient for all magical potions, magical studies, and spell components.
